Hello! We’re Dawn and KP, and we’ve been inseparable since we first met in 2022. Our journey together has been filled with adventures, laughter, and shared passions. One thing that truly defines us is our love for connecting with others and creating meaningful experiences. We thrive on finding beauty in the little moments and sharing those with the people around us. Together, we make the perfect team—always on the same wavelength and complementing each other effortlessly. When one of us dreams up an idea, the other brings it to life with thoughtful refinement. Opal & Ivy was born from Dawn’s creative vision and themes, which KP helped shape into something truly special. Our Story
Creating and designing have always been Dawn’s passion. For years, she has loved planning and decorating parties, bringing ideas to life in unique and beautiful ways. After earning her cosmetology license and working in salons, she realized it wasn’t the right fit. Then, in August 2025, everything changed. She booked a pop-up picnic on Hatteras Island—where she proposed to KP—and instantly knew she had found her calling.
Together, Dawn and KP turned that inspiration into a business built on thoughtful details and seamless execution. Dawn leads the creative vision, marketing, and customer service, while KP manages logistics, setup and teardown, and finances—refining ideas and bringing them to life. With KP’s logistical expertise and hands-on craftsmanship, including building their signature picnic table alongside her dad, the two balance each other perfectly to create meaningful, beautifully curated experiences.
